The biggest car terminals in the world.
In Belgium, as well a big car export as a big car import country, one of the biggest car terminals in the world is found in Zeebrugge. This car terminal ships 1.7 million cars every year, and serves as the central port for Europe's automotive industry:


In Bremershaven in Germany the biggest car terminal of Europe is found. Normally there are between 60,000 and 80,000 vehicles in the terminal at any given time. Some for as little as several hours, others for up to a month. The terminal and its surrounding area has a maximum capacity of around 100,000 vehicles. It was in 2007 that the terminal set a turnover record of 2 million vehicles for a 12-month period.


Another huge car terminal is the Portbury car terminal near Bristol in the UK. In 2007, over 650,000 vehicles were handled here for a wide range of customers.


Another major car port in Europe is the port of Koper in Slovenia. Here one of the most modern and largest car terminals in Mediterranean is situated. With 600.000 cars handled here every year this car terminal belongs to one of the biggest in the world.
